Introducing Groups: Share with Trusted Circles on Treasure It

By Treasure It Team

Neighbors have been asking for a better way to share with smaller, trusted circles inside Treasure It. Today, we’re rolling out Groups so you can coordinate with your community in a way that is flexible, local, and safer by default.

Whether you run a building swap group, a school parent group, or a neighborhood interest circle, Groups makes it easier to post, discover, and moderate together.

What You Can Do with Groups

Groups support:

Every group has a title and a clear membership model so expectations are obvious to everyone who joins.

Public vs Private Group Experience

Group privacy is chosen at creation time:

This gives organizers control over how open or curated a group should be, without changing privacy settings later and surprising members.

Posting in Groups

You can now share gifts to groups while still controlling visibility:

For pricing rules:

This keeps public surfaces focused on free local sharing while letting private groups coordinate more specific exchanges.

Safer Address Handling for Group Pickups

For pickups involving group recipients, addresses are not auto-shared.

Recipients request the address, and gifters can approve or deny that request. This adds a clear consent step and improves privacy in group contexts where members may not know each other well yet.

Moderation and Admin Controls

Groups include stronger trust and safety tools:

We also track invite, approval, and block actions to support moderation decisions when issues come up.

Built for Neighborhood Discovery

Groups home brings together:

The goal is simple: make it easier to find the right group and keep sharing local.

What’s Next

Groups v1 is focused on reliable privacy, feed behavior, and moderation fundamentals. We’ll keep iterating based on feedback, including ideas like richer group communication and improved discovery over time.
